Joshua Conkel began his career as a playwright, working on a number of stage productions in New York. Conkel’s one act play ‘Curmudgeons’ premiered in a small off-Broadway theatre and soon caught the attention of actor/director Danny DeVito. Writer Joshua Conkel shares with The Road to Cinema Podcast how DeVito decided to develop the play about 2 geriatric gay men into a short film featuring the late David Margulies.
